The date 20th March 2018 was a very special day for class 7c. At the EMG the big spring concert started. The English class of Ms von Dombois presented a big role play of 'Billy Elliot'.

It is a story about a boy who wants to be a ballet dancer. His father and other people are not so happy about his life plan. One day his ballet teacher suggests to him to present his dancing at the Royal Ballet School of London. This audition opens up a special future for him.

Everybody in class 7c had a role. We had watched many 'Billy Elliot' scenes from the film and all of us learnt three monologues from the screenplay off by heart too.

Class 7c did their job very well. It was a good presentation on stage. After the play the actors of 'Billy Elliot' were happy!

Am Abend des 20. März 2018 fand um 19 Uhr unser Frühlingskonzert in der neuen Aula statt. Viele Klassen haben zum Programm beigetragen: die fünften und sechsten Klassen mit ein paar Liedern und Percussionsstücken und vor der Pause dann 'Songs and Scenes from 'Billy Elliot''.

Die 7c hat interessante Szenen aus dem Drehbuch von Lee Hall auf Englisch gespielt. Es geht um einen Jungen namens Billy, der unbedingt Ballett machen will. Das Problem ist nur, dass sein Vater bis fast ganz am Ende gegen das Tanzen ist. Am Ende bekommt Billy trotzdem den Brief von der berühmten Ballettschule in London, bei der er sich beworben hatte und sagt die entscheidenden Worte: 'I got in'.

Dazu gab es noch einige tänzerische und gesangliche Vorführungen, die alle mit dem Buch zu tun hatten. Die RockPop-AG war natürlich auch zur Begleitung da. Nach der Pause gab es einzelne begabte Solisten am Klavier, ein Streichquartett mit Sologesang, einen weiteren Auftritt für Gesang und Klavier und abschließend die Lehrerband.

Das Konzert war ein voller Erfolg und nun kann der Frühling in vollen Zügen kommen.
